What is the National Elementary Beta Club?
Students in 4th and 5th grades at DES with
- a credible achievement,
- a worth character, and
- a commendable attitude.

What are the ACADEMIC requirements?
The academic requirements for membership are:
- A student should maintain an 85% overall average in mathematics, social studies, science, language arts (if available), and reading,
- and there should be no grades lower than a "C" on the academic record for the previous year.

What are the SERVICE requirements?
Besides endeavoring at all times to be of service to Dadeville Elementary School and its students by upholding high standards of honesty and good citizenship, this National Elementary Beta club shall undertake some worthwhile service projects. The service requirements are 3 service hours per semester.

What are the CHARACTER and BEHAVIORAL requirements?
The character and behavioral requirements are
- that every member should display good character and good judgment,
- be kind, respectful, and helpful, and should show leadership skills in and out of the classroom environment and
- no member should get an office referral from any teacher or staff member of Dadeville Elementary School.

Are students required to attend meetings?
Yes.
The National Elementary Beta Club meetings will be
- held in the club sponsor's classroom during the club member's PE class time.
- This meeting will occur once every nine week marking period, unless a special meeting is necessary.

Are there dues to join the Beta club?
Yes.
The national dues for elementary beta club is a $15 fee.
The local dues of this club will be $25 per year.
Local dues are used for club t-shirts and other miscellaneous expenses.
- The total amount owed for every Beta Club member is $40. This MUST be paid and the Beta Club agreement form MUST be signed and returned before the student can participate in Beta Club Induction.

What are the leadership roles available?
The officers of this club will be
- President,
- Vice President,
- Secretary,
- Treasurer,
- Reporter, and
- Historian.

What are the committees of the club?
The committees will be
- Program,
- Events,
- Service, and
- Social Outreach.

Can I lose my membership?
Yes.
A member of the club may be put on probation or dropped from membership for the following reasons:

If he/she is absent without a justifiable reason from two regular consecutive meetings.

If his/her academic record falls below an 85 (overall) average of all academic core classes.

If he/she fails to attain at least six service hours without a justifiable reason.

If his/her character and behavior record falls below the standards previously stated.
If and when a member is put on probation, they have the opportunity to be added back on the active school roster.
If and when a member is dropped from membership, a record of this action shall be relayed to the National Office of National Elementary Beta immediately.
